Dr. Tahereh Sarchami is a Research Associate (Analytical Chemistry)
Professional Biography
Dr. Tahereh Sarchami graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Western University, London, Canada, in 2016. Subsequently, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Western University. In 2017, Tahereh worked as a Research Scientist at Lambton College, and in 2018 she was a Quality Control Scientist at A&L Canada Laboratories. Today, Tahereh supports the NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass and Waste to Bioindustrial Resources, as well as other research projects, managing the Analytical Chemistry Research facility, and associated equipment, at ICFAR.
Research Interests
Dr. Sarchami's research interests include: characterization of bio-oil, bio-gas and bio-char, total phenolic separation from bio-oil, acetic acid separation from bio-oil, coffee cup pyrolysis and plastic pyrolysis.
