The Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR) is a research facility that is part of Western University and located north of London, Ontario. ICFAR houses pilot plant research space and is a bridge between academic bench-top with industrial-scale research.

Award winning faculty are based at ICFAR, specializing in biomass and waste conversion, fluid-coking technologies and more. ICFAR faculty make working with industries and governments a priority, which means graduate and undergraduate students receive a highly relevant learning experience at ICFAR.
